If you have been involved in an accident that was at no fault of your own and are seeking compensation, do not go alone; hire an attorney to protect your rights. It can be tough enough trying to deal with the impact the accident had on your life, let alone trying to deal with being compensated for the accident. You will be pushed aside and your claim will not be treated as top priority. You will be left to deal with the financial burden the accident has caused you until you think you are going to drown in debt. Once the insurance company can smell your desperation they will offer you a lowball settlement and inform you that it is in your best interest to take it. If they have not gotten you to already sign your rights away to any future claims or caused you to defile yourself in a tricky worded phone conversation that has been recorded, this settlement will be all you are offered.

Halifax police are investigating a homicide involving a woman in her 90s.

Halifax Regional Police issued a release around noontime Tuesday regarding the death of a 92-year-old woman on Friday night at Arborstone Enhanced Care Nursing Home on Purcell’s Cove Road.

Police spokesman Const. Brian Palmeter said they don’t know the full details of what happened, only that “the deceased was injured and those injuries led to complications which led to her death.”

“Given the circumstances around the death and circumstances of the two people involved in the incident, there is a question already whether or not criminal culpability exists,” he said.
